You fight me with your words
Just fight me with your fists
It’s your words which hurt me deeply
Your words which bleed my soul.
It’s the words I can’t explain.
The bruises leave a mark
One that others see
And share with me my pain.
Your words kick me
Make me bleed.
My world is going black,
Silently I scream.
Your words leave scars so tender
Scars that only I can see
Scars you left on my heart
Scars only just for me
You fight me with your words
Just fight me with your fists
It’s words that hurt me deeply
The words which bleed my soul.
I’m no longer who I use to be
Just a figment of the younger me
My soul, my face, my mind have twisted
Older. Colder.
You’ve made me older.
Innocence was happiness.
But that was something of my youth.
Irreplaceable, irretrievable.
You brought more knowledge into my world
You taught me pain and loss, unease and discomfort
The things you say the things you do
I have no faith that you’ll pull through
You fight me with your words
Just fight me with your fists
It’s your words which hurt me deeply
Your words which bleed my soul.
The words you say echo forever
Bounce back and forward in my mind
Eyes are the window of the soul
Do you see only darkness in mine?
You have made me colder.
I sought warmth in your embracing arms
But no matter how hard I sought
I searched to no avail
I wanted your arms around me
Embracing, encircling, and loving
Instead your words erase
All the trust and love and respect.
You fight me with your words
Just fight me with your fists
It’s your words which hurt me deeply
Your words which bleed my soul.
You use to be my idol
You can never get that back
You made me somewhat older
You made me somewhat colder
I needed love
You gave me the shoulder
Your icy heart
Your burning soul.
To trust is to live in denial
To hope is to live in a dream
To scream and hope someone will hear you
Is futile you’ll remain unseen.

I haven't been on for a long while and thus I hadn't been able to look at my mail and whatnot. But wow, when I finally got to this, man. Words cannot descibe the emotions this poem invokes in me, how I relate so easily to its descriptions. It truely was well written, I am slightly envious at the raw talent that is displayed here. This poem is one many can relate to, for it does invoke the emotions the poet felt and the memories they might have had. They bring memories to my mind most certainly. Keep on fighting, keep on writting, and never let your thoughts blind you.
